Let’s go on a journey!

I love this quote. In fact, I have created three images/quotes with it. Each has a different image, but the same quote.

A journey, whether it is a vacation adventure, a weekend trip, going to the kitchen for a snack, or even deciding to change to improve one’s life begins with a single step. Often, that single step, the first one is the decision to make the journey, to begin, to start.

As we head into the last quarter of the year. I’m going on a journey. It is not a trip, a vacation, or to the kitchen for a snack (I do that too much already), but one of self-improvement.

I want to recommit to this. To start anew. It isn’t enough to just want to do something. I want to do a lot of things, but if I don’t give structure, a plan, and set goals, that support improvement then it won’t happen. It just won’t. There must be structure, a system that provides support for it.

This is part of the equation. The other part is to be disciplined to consistently follow the plan. This is the hard part. The idea, the goal, has to become a habit. There must be daily tasks that support the goal. Each part building on the daily habits and rituals.

My plan is to use the blog as a journal, a way to be more accountable, and to document the process. I will try to do entries on the topic a few times per week.

So, let’s go!
